Vivian Afi Dzokoto, PhD is a cultural and clinical psychologist. She is a Professor in the Department of African American Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, USA. Her research foci include User Experiences in African Payment Spaces and the Cultural Grounding of Affect and Psychopathology In West African Settings.

MIASA Project: Out Of Many Currencies, One: Understanding West African Common Currency Governance and Consumer Experiences in Ghana

This study will explore (i) governance practices, policies, and processes and (ii) individual-level activities, experiences, and strategies which may influence the implementation and adoption of the proposed single West African Currency, the Eco in Ghana. Data will be collected in Accra through document reviews, stakeholder
interviews, and in-depth interviews and surveys with Ghanaian adults.
