Prince Osei-Wusu Adjei is a Development Geographer, currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Geography and Rural Development, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He holds PhD in Geography and Rural Development. His major research interests and expertise include Poverty and Livelihoods Studies, Decentralization and Local Governance, Gender transitions towards equality in Africa, Internal Migration and Rural Development. Prince Adjei has worked as lead researcher for collaborative projects including the Gender Transition in Africa Project at the Nordic Africa Institute, Uppsala; Responsive Forest Governance Initiative (RFGI-CODESRIA) and the Economics Work Package of the Deltas Vulnerability and Climate Change-Migration Adaptation (DECCMA Ghana) initiative. His research project at MIASA shall focus on Rural Livelihood Diversification and Sustainability through Non-Farm Sector Growth and Governance with Ghana’s Rural Enterprise Programme as a Case Study. This project shall follow a cross-sectional case study design using mixed methods approach and situated within the capability theory and sustainable livelihood framework of the DfID. A working paper, policy brief and a book proposal are some intellectual outputs to be generated whilst at MIASA. Prince Adjei welcomes opportunities for collaboration on his proposed research project at MIASA and any other projects related to his research interests and expertise.
