My research project investigates the potentials and risks of extra-legal governance by vigilante groups of Koglweogo in Burkina Faso. The project pays particular attention to questions on moral controversy, social trust and local perceptions of justice and thereby aims to contribute to the MIASA-program’s focus on “sustainable conflict management” in rural communities.
