Mariama Zaami

Mariama Zaami is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Geography and Resource Development and an Interfaculty member of the Centre for Migration Studies (CMS), University of Ghana. After her Master at the University of Bergen, Norway, she completed her PhD in Sociology at University of Calgary, Canada, in 2017. Her research focuses on the gendered migration patterns from rural to urban locations and the implications of these movements for household livelihoods and religious diversity in Ghana. From September to December 2022, she was co-convener of IFG 7 at MIASA.
